Kwik Trip replaced their home-grown and separate systems with a manufacturing execution system (MES) for material receiving, labeling and for logging all material consumption and production on the shop floor in real-time. Integration with the company’s ERP system complements it with full product genealogy (track and trace), rules of quality control procedures and for managing the shelf life of received materials. Procedures are executed as electronic workflows which enforces the standard procedures for quality checks and facilitates the use of mobile devices on the shop floor.
